GLEN WAVERLEY BOWLS CLUB INC. INVITATION PRESTIGE PAIRS Friday 25th September, 2026 Conditions of Play All Matches will be played in accordance with the current edition of the Laws of the Sport of Bowls, Bowls Australia Domestic Regulations, Bowls Victoria Rules for Competition and Conditions of Play. 1. Attire: Bowls Victoria Regulations for Attire apply. No sleeveless shirts. 2. Wheelchairs or other mobile aids must have wide pneumatic tyres. 3. A briefing will commence at 9 am, with games to start promptly at 9:30 am. 4. The tournament consists of 4 games - 8 ends of 2x2x2x2, 8 ends of 3 bowls, 8 ends of 2x4x2 and 10 ends of 2 bowls. A bell may be used to indicate the end of a game. If used, complete the end in progress and proceed to your next game. 5. Trial Ends: there will be a 4-bowl two-end roll-up before the first game only. 6. Respotting the jack: there will be no dead ends caused by the jack going out of bounds. The jack will be re-spotted in accordance with Law 56.5 and placed 2 metres from the front ditch on the centre line of the rink and play will continue. 7. Visiting the head: other than on change over, each team may visit the head only once per end. 8. At the conclusion of each game, skips are to ensure that score cards correspond, and then the winning skip will return both cards to the Tournament Office before commencing the next game. 9. Next games are to commence as soon as the designated rink becomes available. 10. A lunch break will be taken after the second game, as directed by the Event Manager. 11. Game winners are decided on shots up, with 2 points for a win and 1 point for a tie. The overall winner will be the team with the highest number of points. If teams are equal on points, the winners are determined by shots up, then ratio (shots up divided by shots against), then ends won. 12. Prizes, totalling $1300, are distributed as follows: . Overall winning team $600 . Overall runner-up team $300 . Best winner of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th games $100 per team 13. No team can win more than one prize. 14. Forfeitures will be handled in accordance with the addendum. 15. The Event Manager has the right to alter the conditions of play, if necessary.
