Congratulations to Isaac Shieh for Winning the Club’s Novice Singles Championship for 2016.Congratulations also to Simon Shieh, Isaac’s father, on being Runner Up.

Simon and Isaac are newly joined members of the Glen Waverley Bowls Club. The final was a great tussle between father & son, with both playing exceptionally well.  There was nothing in it leading into the last end. The game was at 20 all with Simon to play the last Bowl of the match, a measure was required by the marker of the match, Club President Dick McClelland, with on Isaac just getting the nod for shot. Wife and mother Vanessa had a very tense time watching her men play.

Both Simon & Isaac have taken on the game with great enthusiasm and say bowls is a great game of skill and fun. Well done Simon and Isaac, Glen Waverley Bowls Club are very proud of you.
